Power Sharing: Conditio Sine Qua Non

Indispensable Condition for a Political Alliance

In a parliamentary government, Clinton's side would not have the necessary majority to govern. In the USA setting this translates in Clinton's risk to lose the presidency against Trump.

That said, because the history and fundamental political differences, it is wishful thinking to ask Bernie's supporters to fall in line. 

Bernie's supporters do not buy Clinton's changes of heart and her words at face value (Obama's endorsement or not). This is why Bernie has to stay in the race to the end and should have a meaningful convention, as never done before.

In my view, to defeat Trump, and the only way this thing can work, is if there is real power sharing between Clinton and Sanders. Not just honorary assignments but actual hands on the levers of power.

This would amount to a coalition government, or in other words, checks and balance in the respect of the will of the people on both sides of the Democratic Party’s fence.

What I mean is to divide the following roles and responsibilities by the convention end, way before the presidential election. This would be an actual political revolution that could satisfy the majority of Bernie’s supporters.

Pragmatic Idealism vs Pragmatic Nihilism

The hallmark of a modern Democratic society is fiscal justice. That is where the rubber hits the road. The wall street crowd's "philosophy" offends our intelligence more than anything else. Their demagogy is destroying this Country. They must be stopped, this is the core mission of the next President.
As much as I do agree with the slogan "It is the Economy Stupid", in my view, it is the ideological underpinning that must be addressed. This ideology gives free pass to the rich (1%) and penalizes everybody else (99%). This is why Bernie is right on the money (no pun intended) and Hillary and the republican clowns are not!

I hope that the Country is ready for a "political revolution" or paradigm shift. This will not be easy, but must be done.

I'd rather support Bernie's pragmatic idealism than Hillary's pragmatic nihilism.

I know where the right wing ideologues stand: on the side of the rich (their side). Their position is obtuse, destructive and environmentally unsustainable.
They want to convince people that their ideas are based on sound "economic theories" . Things like "invisible hand", "trickle down economics", "free market" and the like. And look where this "philosophy" has led us. To a failed economy with trillions in bailout for big banks (wall street) from the government, millions of jobs shipped to low-wage countries (mainly China), complete disrespect for workers' rights and environmental laws.

Look at this graph and do not tell me that it does not have anything to do with "income inequality".

These things do not happen by accident, they are a result of a wrong ideology which favors the rich (1%) at the expense of everybody else (99%). The tragic irony is that these ideologues are all for the "free market" when there is profit to fatten their pockets, but when the things go south, as during the crash of 2008, they sheepishly run, with the paints or skirts in their hands, to the government (no problem with socialism there). A tenet of their philosophy is very clear: privatize profits and socialize losses. What a bunch of dangerous psychopaths!!  

The saying "what is good for General Electric is good for America" does not work anymore. The saying must be reversed, as it always was, and must read: What is good for America is good for General Electric.

The Country needs a different kind of leadership at every level (not only the political one). Please, listen to what a clever plutocrat has to say.

Unfortunately, the destructive ideology that has led the Country to the economic disaster is not attributable to the republicans only but also to all the so called democrats that have been riding along profiting handsomely from it.

If you cozy up with the wall street crowd, you are one of 'em and you must be defeated.

• Legislative districts in Washington: Washington: Legislative Districts Map  Each district has a Democratic party organization for example: 
• 47th District Democrats Next meeting will February 3 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• 33rd District Democrats. Next meeting will be Mon, February 15, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM 
• For all the other districts you can search on line in google enter for example 33rd democrats Washington
  
  Start participating in your district party activity to become a delegate. Study the document listed before. 
• Note that a legislative district contains many precincts, each precinct comprises several blocks. Each precinct should have a Precinct Committee Officer (PCO). A PCO is the grassroots organizer and a key player in the delegate nomination process. If your precinct does not have a PCO, volunteer to be nominated.  For more information, see Become a PCO
• Do not confuse a legislative district with a congressional district. Washington has 10 congressional districts; they are intended for national elections to elect representatives in the house. Progressive Message

One of the major problems in communicating the progressive message is that we think we have different ideas and care about different issues. As a result, we cannot unite behind any set of ideas. How many times we have heard the Democrats are like cats? The truth of the matter is that we agree on values which are the basis for progressive unity. A clear understanding of our progressive values is the foundation for political action to address issues such as security, health, education, etc… We should get out of the "issue silos" that isolate us and keep us from the values and principles that define our overall progressive vision.
